Transylvania is a country in Romania. Van Helsing is sent there to kill the vampire Dracula, whom has been terrorizing the country for many years. It is noted to have numerous demons and monsters lurking within its cold, frigid depths, which seeth in nasty weather of thick rain and fog. Notable creatures include vampires, werewolves, and, more specifically, Frankenstein's Monster. Although not directly proven, most of Transylvania seems to consist of villages far and few in between, which look poor and fearful under the wraths of the numerous supernatural entities. Despite there being some wealthier others, such as Viktor Frankenstein and Dracula himself, everyone else appears rather uncouth and filthy, notably living in crooked, bent-up village shacks.
